CoverWell™ Imaging Chambers
COVERWELL™ IMAGING CHAMBERS
CoverWell™ imaging chambers are designed to stabilize and support thick and free-floating specimens for confocal microscopy and imaging applications. The reusable press-to-seal silicone chambers form removable enclosures for repeat staining or specimen re-positioning. Flexible coverslip material allows these chambers to be removed from the thinnest coverglass without breaking the glass or damaging the specimen. The thin (0.18mm / 0.007”) polycarbonate cover displays excellent transparency. Imaging chambers are available with or without adhesive. Adhesive CoverWells ™ are designed to form peel-and-stick leak-proof enclosures for the permanent mounting of thick specimens.

Q: What solvents are compatible with CoverWell™ products?
A: CoverWells are manufactured from Lexan Polycarbonate (cover) Silicone (gasket) and Acrylic/Silicone Adhesive (interface). Steer clear of soaking in Alcohol and no exposure to Xylenes, Toluene, Chloroform, Acetone. DMF is fine.
Silicone Isolators allow researchers to isolate specimens using removable hydrophobic barriers. They may be used to isolate cells grown in culture dishes or separate multiple specimens affixed to microscope slides. Isolators are available in red silicone thickness 0.5 to 2.5mm pre-cut or as sheet material with or without secure seal clean adhesive on one or both surfaces. Nonadhesive isolators are autoclavable and reusable.Silicone Isolators™ remain sealed to smooth surfaces during washing steps. Where additional sealing is required, SecureSeal™ adhesive on one or both surfaces is recommended.
CoverWell™ Incubation ChambersSEARCH
CoverWell™ incubation chambers are reusable, easy to apply chambers that attach without the use of adhesive. CoverWells™ enclose a large sample area with a small reagent volume and preserve kinetic (non-capillary) fluid dynamics for better reagent mixing and lower backgrounds within the chamber for more uniformly sensitive assays. These ready-to-use chambers are designed expressly for in situ hybridization and immunocytochemistry.
FlexWell™ Incubation ChambersSEARCH
FlexWell™ incubation chamber silicone gaskets form wells on slides using clean release adhesive to isolate up to 16 specimens per slide. Slides fit into a reusable slide tray organizing wells into the footprint of a microtiter plate. Gaskets may be sealed for mixing and to prevent evaporation.
CoverWell™ Perfusion ChambersSEARCH
CoverWell ™ perfusion press-to-seal covers form water-tight, multiwell cell incubation or cytochemistry chambers when pressed to coverslips or microscope slides. Reagents can be quickly added and removed through dual access ports without disturbing or cross-contaminating specimens. Chambers are available in five chamber configurations allowing up to eight different specimens or analytical tests on one coverglass.
FastWells™ Reagent BarriersSEARCH
FastWells™ are sticky, flexible silicone gaskets that form hydrophobic reagent barriers around specimens without messy adhesives or special slides. Gaskets may be stacked to increase depth and volume. FastWell™ Reagent Barriers provide rapid isolation of cells and tissues on slides or coverslips for antibody incubations. The barriers remain sealed during agitated washing steps, preventing reagents from spilling when shaken or rocked. FastWells™ peel off quickly and cleanly, leaving no residue to interfere with specimen cover-slipping. They can be washed, autoclaved and reused. The barriers can also be sealed to form incubation chambers using flexible HybriSlip™ covers.
