SecureSeal™ Frame
SecureSeal™ Frames are comprised of a non-cytotoxic, nuclease free, double-sided adhesive designed to form leak-proof / vapor-proof incubation chambers on microscope slides. Sealed chambers containing reagents withstand temperatures up to 97oC and are ideally suited for applications such as in situ PCR and hybridization incubations requiring denaturation steps. Frames are 0.25mm thick and available in multiple sizes.
Components may be sterilized by autoclaving, UV-treatment, or immersion in Isopropyl Alcohol. Reaction mixtures may be recovered from the chamber after incubation by puncturing the flexible plastic cover using a hypodermic needle and withdrawing solution using a syringe or a pipette. Frames are easily removed from glass slides without leaving a residue.
